Martin Shkreli: 7-Year Sentence for Securities Fraud | HeyShae!

Martin Shkreli, former CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals, received a 7-year sentence for federal securities fraud and the pharmaceutical company he once ran. Shkreli, a.k.a. "'Pharma Bro", is notorious for purchasing life-saving drugs or pop culture items and rising their prices unfathomably, or not releasing them to the public at all.

Shkreli is infamous for his aggressive tactics and quickly became despised by the healthcare industry. During his sentence, Shkreli sobbed and made an emotional (and theatrical) statement to the judge.

There is one person to blame for me being here today is me. Not the government. There is no conspiracy to take down Martin Shkreli. I took down Martin Shkreli. This is my fault. I am no victim here.

There's no argument here. He is certainly solely to blame for his actions.
