Chris Brown on Trump's Comment: Be Harder When Arresting Thugs

Let's be real. There is no lack of controversial comments from this farce of a presidency. However, when we think #45 can not possibly screw up yet another speech, he waddles up to the podium and commences to FUBAR another address to the nation.

Donald Trump addressed law enforcement officials last Friday in Brentwood, NY. He enthusiastically encouraged police officers to be rough during arrests.
When you see these towns and when you see these thugs being thrown into the back of a paddy wagon, you just see them thrown in, rough.
 Trump wen on to say,
I said, 'please don't be too nice.

Like when you guys put somebody in the car and you're protecting their head, you know, the way you put their hand over. Like, 'don't hit their head' and they've just killed somebody. Don't hit their head.' I said, 'you can take the hand away.' OK?
An angry Chris Brown responded to Trump's comments on his Instagram account.
WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK?????! HE GIVING POLICE MORE RIGHT TO FUCK UP YOUNG BLACK MEN!! SHIT IS CRAZZY!!! this is not how u make peace or any kind of help. Please wake up people!
I have to agree with Chris.

I was incredulous when I first heard Trump's statements. I mean, who exactly falls into the 'thug' category? Does race play a factor? How does a person's gender or the type of neighborhood where they got arrested come into play? Should someone be labeled a thug by the way they are dressed, or by the charges they face (rapist vs molester vs drug dealer)?

What happens when an officer takes Trump's advice and bang a cuffed suspect's hands and break their neck or cause a concussion by being 'rough while putting them into the 'paddy wagon?'  Shouldn't that officer be responsible for causing harm to an unarmed and cuffed suspect?

When an arrest occurs, police should bring in the suspect as they found them. The suspect should be taken to the police station to be processed. Officers should not have the right to judge and condemn any suspect because that is NOT their job. Citizens should have their day in court. But to let Trump tell it, the police can just arrest you and beat your ass before you even see the police station. As if we do not have enough people doing this now.

This reckless and irresponsible joke of a president is promoting police brutality, plain and simple. He will be the cause of more officers and precincts getting sued. He will cause more people to get hurt, and more neighborhoods to protest the violence. Even his choice of words, thugs & paddy wagon, are racist and outdated. His statements are irresponsible and unconstitutional.
