Apollo Holmes, recently indicted by a grand jury for his alleged involvement in the beating of fitness trainer Darius Miller, took his own life on Christmas Day 2008. In December of 2007, witnesses told authorities Miller was involved in a scuffle with several men outside of an Atlanta nightclub which left him in a coma. Those individuals were said to have been a part of a camera crew for a web-based party promotions company named 01 Entertainment.
Within 48 hours, police had issued a warrant for Holmes who then turned himself in. He had no prior police record but was charged with aggravated assault and bail was set at $100,000. Attorneys for the entertainment company denied that anyone in the company's camera crew attacked Miller.
