Herbie Hancock Still Has It

Jazz musician Herbie Hancock

Herbie Hancock performed last Wedneday at the Hampton Beach Casino. He played relentlessly for a very appreciative audience that sucked in every musical note while screaming for more.

Fans are excited that Herbie is back in the states, as this is just his third American stop after spending some time in Europe for his "Rivers of Possibilities" tour.

To accompany his wonderful jazz music, the following performers joined Herbie's show: singer Sonya Kitchell, saxophonist Chris Potter, singer Amy Keys, bass player Dave Holland and drummer Vinnie Colaiuta.

The audience was on its feet the whole time.

  1. Yessss, H-squared and i have been friends for years. One of my fave songs was 'Making love in the rain' with relatively new Janet Jackson (an angel) and Wendy from Prince and the Revolution.

Oh beloved, don't be surprised-I am a renaissance as well as a phenomenal woman, phenomenal woman is me.

  2. Hey FM, glad to see you're back. :-)

H-squared, I like that. LOL Making Love In The Rain is a favorite of mine. The instrumental that used to be played on the jazz stations was awesome. Besides, you put together Herbie, Janet and Wendy and it's got to be a hit!

Michael Jackson: Before & After Thriller

As you may know by now, Michael Jackson will be on the December 2007 issue of Ebony Magazine. They are showcasing him 25 years after "Thriller".

I commend him on still trying to be out there after years of controversy and court cases, but I wish the man had stayed out of the plastic surgeon's office.
