High On Performance, Low On Fuel Consumption

The Porsche 911 Carrera GT2 sports car has an incredible 530-horsepower twin turbo engine. This Porsche can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. That's bananas!

If that weren't impressive enough, you can reach top track speeds of two hundred and four miles per hour in this thing. It boasts new features like the rear wing, rear-wheel drive, manual six-speed gearbox and large air intakes.

The air intake vibrates or moves side to side (oscillates) during the cooler expansion phase and that keeps the temps of the fuel/air mixture low. The result is a significant increase in fuel efficiency meaning lower fuel consumption by up to 15%.

If you don't follow car jargon, that means it's a beautiful, fast, efficient sports car that offers relief at the pumps. Well, only if you can get over the dent in your pocketbook after paying the hefty $79,400 to $100,000 price tag.

This design was revealed on September 11, 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

It's currently on my fantasy wish list. ;-)
