Michael Vick Files Bankruptcy

Mike Vick Files BankruptcyI tend to ask the question, "Was it worth it?" whenever someone is handed their ass after making a poor decision. There is always a cause and effect when we make decisions.. sometimes they are good, sometimes they are bad.

Former NFL quarterback, Michael Vick, is currently serving a 23-month federal bid for running a dogfighting ring.

He's been in jail for 7 months and is now filing bankruptcy. He claims his debs are now equal to his assets: between $10 to $50 million.

His lawyers say they hope after the bankruptcy filing, he can rebuild his life on a, "Personal and spiritual level, resurrect his image as a public figure, and resolve matters with the NFL such that he can resume his career.'' Well that's a mouthful.

Many did not believe the punishment fit the crime, but I'd have to say differently. Michael Vick is 28-years old. He was pick number one in the National Football League's 2001 college draft. The man knows right from wrong, he just made a series of stupid decisions that he now has to pay for.

All I want to know is... was it worth it for him to risk everything that he has lost/is losing?

  1. I can say that this does not surprise me at all.

  2. I'm not surprised he filed, but I am surprised he filed this soon. I wonder where all his boys are now? Why aren't the people who were there helping him spend the money trying to help keep him afloat? Hmmm...
