Swedish Jazz pianist and composer, Esbjörn Svensson, was killed last Saturday in a scuba diving accident off a small island near Stockholm.
He was swimming with other divers when the accident happened and was found severely injured on the seabed. Unfortunately, attempts at resuscitation were not successful.
He was just 44-years-old.
Svensson was famous for his rock-inspired electronics which he harmoniously incorporated into in modern jazz.
His band, Esbjörn Svensson Trio (E.S.T.), just finished their 12th album entitled, "Leukocyte,'' which will be released this fall.
Police are investigating the incident.
