Celebrity Deaths

Bo Diddley

Rock ‘n Roll originator, Bo Diddley dies at the age of 79. He died of heart failure in his Floriday home early this morning.
In case you didn’t know, Diddley was the influence behind such bands as the Greateful Dead, Bruce Springsteen, Buddy Holly and the Rolling Stones.
With an impressive start, Diddley unfortunately achieved very few hits in his forty plus years in the music business. But his impact on the music industry, rock ‘n roll in particular, continues to rock on.

Yves Saint Laurent

Fashion mogul Yves Saint Laurent died last night at the age of 71-years-old. Buisness partner Pierre Bergé announced his death.

Laurent was by far one of the greatest pioneers of modern fashion for women. The French fashion designer launched the notorious brand in 1962 and blazed along fiercely beside other noted French designers such as Coco Chanel and Christian Dior until his retirement in 2002.

Laurent was also one of the first designers to put an African American model on the runway.
