Mrs. Carter, a.k.a. Beyoncé, hosted an A-list shindig for her little sis, Solange Knowles' 22nd birthday.
On the list of party goers was Ludacris, Ne-Yo, Mario, and Michelle Williams (of Destiny’s Child). The party was deejayed by Samantha Ronson, the gal pal of Lindsay Lohan who did attend, but slipped out before the party went into full swing.
The music rotation included hits from Beyoncé’s albums, Jay-Z’s top hits (Solange requested that most of the music include the hits of both Bey and Jay-Z.).
They also danced to tracks like Prince’s “Kiss” and Bob Marley’s “Could You Be Loved.” When "Get Me Bodied" came on, Beyoncé and Solange reenacted the dances from the video.
The menu included barbecue chicken, collard greens, cornbread, macaroni and cheese (served buffet-style) and the guests sang "Happy Birthday" to the birthday girl who blew out the candles on her cupcakes - which bore large white candles that were passed throughout the crowd - and banged on a tambourine.
Sounds like she had a ball.
